Indigo Sea

Indigo Sea

A distant full moon hangs low,
like a renegade snowball from winter
over an indigo sea.
I try to find its crators
in the wavy water.
Instead I find the deep colors
of your indigo eyes,
watching me like wistful sirens,
dreaming of a lost ship,
daring to sail into their waters.

Found this painting online and it reminded me of the nights I sat on Charles's balcony, watching the moon rise over the sea.
